“Vogel Tool, this is Larry” is what you’re probably going to hear when you call Vogel Tool & Die.

Although I am the company’s sales manager, as a small company we pride ourselves on being easy to reach. If you call during business hours, seldom will you need to leave a voicemail or be transferred to someone else in order to receive the help  My office is literally steps away from our manufacturing facility. We also have a second facility at our parent company’s location about 20 minutes away.

I grew up in the greater Chicagoland area, attended the University of Illinois and with a background in industrial sales,  came to Vogel over 20 years ago. I was hired by Loren Vogel, the grandson of Julius Vogel who invented the Arc-Fit pipe notcher and started both Vogel Tool and virtually the entire pipe notching industry.

Although I work out of our Addison (Chicago suburban) factory, our company does participate in a limited number of trade shows (currently: The American Fence Association – FenceTech / NOMMA –MetalFab / International Door Association – IDAExpo) which gives me the opportunity to demonstrate our products as well as the pleasure of meeting many current and past customers.

I have participated in government-sponsored seminars devoted to increasing international sales which resulted in Vogel receiving a 2018 award from the Governor of Illinois, recognizing our ongoing export achievements. In addition, I have authored several articles published by US and international trade publications.

In my personal life I’m a pet lover, enjoy fixing things around my home, have volunteered to assist the elderly, promoted nutrition education, have served on the board of directors of my home town’s 4th of July parade committee and am a fan of vintage and oddball automobiles.
