Vogel’s Econo Cut Off Die – Cut with No Chips
Our Vogel #4162 Econo Cut Off Die, is our square tubing cutting tool. It lets you quickly cut square tubing to length with no chips, minimal burr & deformation.
- No chips to remove from tube
- Suitable for steel or aluminum
- Minimal deformation and burr
- Cut up to 1-1/4″ square x 1/8″ or thinner wall
- No changeover for different tube sizes
- Spring loaded for easy set up in most ironworkers
- Can be powered by Vogel’s CSP-25-SA hydraulic 120V press
- Low-cost sharpenable blades

If you are cutting aluminum tubing for making gates and panels, our cut off tool will produce a single slug that you can collect and sell for its scrap value. With a saw, you’re probably sweeping chips off the floor and that potential scrap value is going into the trash.
Because there will be no chips inside your tube, if you cut, then flatten your tubing into pickets, you won’t lose time blowing off chips that would ruin the flattened end if not removed.
Install your Econo Cut Off Die in Vogel’s CSP-25-SA Power Unit and you have a complete tube cutting machine that has less than a 2′ footprint!

- #4162 Cut Off Blades (although sharpenable, we suggest order 3 – 6 blades with your cut off tool
- A press to provide power, either your own press brake, ironworker, or our CSP press
- If you plan to cut short parts, our (optional) tube guides will help stabilize the tube
